Lynda Radley: Playwright

participatory arts, workshops and education

  • Lynda has worked as an Associate Artist and Mentor for Playwrights’ Studio Scotland: supporting playwrights at all stages of their careers.
  • As a freelance “outside artist” Lynda has, for the last seven years, mentored students on the MLitt in Playwriting and Dramaturgy at Glasgow University, supporting them through the process of writing full-length plays.
  • She has also worked extensively as a mentor and dramaturg for Theatre Gu Leòr and for The Tron Labs.
  • Lynda is a board member at Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland.
  • Lynda also works in participatory arts and has given workshops in prisons, hospitals, community halls, schools and old folks homes all over Scotland. She has worked with young mothers, older adults, asylum seekers, refugees, primary school and high school students, women in the criminal justice system, and forensic psychiatry clients.
  • In 2019 Lynda was the lead artist on a six-month long project working with women who have experienced homelessness (Social Bite and A Moment’s Peace). Called Stories to Survive to, the project involved working with two groups of women over a period of months, to make space for their creative writing. A book of their work was published, and excerpts performed by professional actors.
  • Lynda is available for workshops and talks
